Funnel cloud

A funnel cloud is like a BIG Tornado baby that's still playing hide-and-seek in the sky. When there's a storm brewing and things get all windy and whirly, a funnel cloud may form high up in the air.

It looks like a long, skinny finger stretching down from the sky, and it's made of swirling air that's moving really fast. Sometimes, the funnel cloud stays up there and doesn't actually touch the ground, but other times, it decides to come down and say hello with a really big hug that's not very friendly.

It's important to listen to grownups and stay safe when there's a funnel cloud warning. They can be pretty dangerous and cause a lot of damage to buildings and homes, so it's best to stay indoors until the storm is all gone.
