Fuzzy mathematics

Fuzzy mathematics is a way of reasoning that is used to make decisions in situations where there is no one right answer. Instead of using an absolute yes or no, fuzzy mathematics uses grades or degrees of likelihood to make decisions. For example, if you wanted to know if it's going to rain today, instead of giving an answer like "yes" or "no," fuzzy mathematics might answer that there is a 50% chance of rain. In this way, fuzzy mathematics uses shades of gray instead of absolute black and white.
