GNU Parted

Gnu parted is a computer program that helps you divide (or "part") your hard drive so that you can use it more efficiently. When you have a hard drive, it usually comes with only one big chunk of space; but with Gnu parted, you can create multiple chunks, or "partitions," that you can save different kinds of data in. These partitions help to keep kinds of data better organized, and prevents one type of data from getting in the way of the other.
