GPS

GPS stands for Global Positioning System. It is a system of satellites that orbit Earth and send out signals that can be used to figure out where something is on Earth. You can use them to find out where you are, like when you are driving and the GPS tells you what direction to go. GPS satellites send out signals that Earth-based receivers can pick up and use to figure out information like latitude, longitude, and altitude. GPS technology is used in a lot of devices like phones and cars, and it also helps airplanes and ships to navigate.
