Gaiters

Gaiters are pieces of clothing that you wear around your ankles, kind of like socks but with a special purpose. They are made of waterproof material like nylon or Gore-Tex and they help to keep your pants and shoes dry and protected from snow, mud, sand, and other wet conditions. They look like tubes and have straps or buckles that you use to keep them in place.
