Gangway (nautical)

Okay kiddo, so a gangway is like a bridge on a ship that helps people get on and off the boat safely. It's usually a flat piece of wood or metal that stretches from the ship to the dock or shore. When the ship is docked, the gangway is lowered down so that people can walk up and down it. It's like a special way to get on and off the boat without having to jump or climb up or down. And it's important to use the gangway because it keeps everyone safe and makes sure nobody falls in the water or gets hurt. So always use the gangway, okay?
