Gaussian process

A Gaussian process is like a never-ending line of numbers that are all connected together. All together, these numbers form a curve -- like a line in a graph. This curve is special because each number in the curve represents how one thing is related to another thing. For example, if you wanted to figure out how temperatures outside in your town changed during the year, you could use a Gaussian process to help you figure it out. It would look at how temperatures changed in past years, and use that information to estimate what temperatures might be like in the future. It's a little bit like magic!
