ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Kriging

Kriging is a way to predict the value of something (like data or measurements) in an area where you don't have a lot of information about it. It uses what data you do have to make an educated guess about what the data looks like in the spots where you don't have enough information. It's like if you wanted to make a map of your town but you had data from some places but not everywhere. Kriging can help you fill in the blanks and make the map more accurate by using the data you do have to make educated guesses about the spots without data.
