ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Gender Inequality Index

The Gender inequality index (GII) is a way of measuring how fair or equal a society is for both women and men. It looks at how much access women and men have to education, health care, political representation, resources, and other opportunities. It also looks at how much power and influence women and men have in a society. Countries with a lower GII score are considered more equal and fair, while countries with a higher GII score are considered less equal and fair.
