Genetic assimilation

Genetic assimilation is a process that happens in nature when animals slowly start to change their body or behavior to look or act more similar to other animals that they come in contact with. For example, if an animal that lives in a forest starts to learn how to climb trees like other animals in the forest, that is an example of genetic assimilation.
