Genetic epidemiology

Genetic epidemiology is a way of using genetics to help us better understand health. It looks at how people inherit certain traits (like eye color) and how those traits can affect their health. For example, someone may have a family history of heart disease, but they can also have a genetic mutation that makes them more likely to develop heart disease. By studying how these traits affect people's health, scientists can understand more about diseases and help come up with better treatments.
