Geocodes

Geocodes are like an address for a place on a map. Just like you have your own address where you live, places on a map have their own special code. This code helps computers and maps to know exactly where that place is located on the Earth.

This code has two parts: latitude and longitude. Latitude is like a horizontal line on the Earth, while longitude is like a vertical line. Instead of being measured in inches or feet, they are measured in degrees.

So if someone asks you for geocodes, they basically want to know the latitude and longitude of a place, so they can pinpoint it on a map. This is really helpful when you want to find directions to somewhere or tell your friends exactly where you are on a hike!
