Geoinformatics

Geoinformatics is a type of science that helps us look at and understand information about the earth. It uses computers to store and analyze data that tells us about the land, climate, and other features. It helps us plan better cities, protect the environment, and develop natural resources in a safe and sustainable way. It includes things like looking at aerial photography and satellite data to identify features on the earth’s surface. Geoinformatics helps us answer questions like, “Where are the most important areas of a city, or which parts of a park are the most interesting?”
