Germanic names

Germanic names are names that come from the Germanic language or from people who spoke Germanic languages. Germanic languages were spoken a long, long time ago in places like Germany, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.

Sometimes Germanic names are made up of two smaller words that have a special meaning. For example, the name "Rudolf" is made up of "ruad" which means "fame" and "wulf" which means "wolf." So when you say "Rudolf", you are saying "famous wolf!" Cool, huh?

Germanic names are also known for having strong sounding letters like K, G, and V. They often end in letters like F, L, or N.
