Gestalt psychology

Gestalt psychology is about how we see things. It says that when we look at things, we tend to see the whole thing at once, rather than seeing all the individual parts. For example, if you showed someone a picture of an orange, they would not think about all the individual parts of the orange (the skin, the seeds, etc.), they would just think of it as an orange. This is because we like to see things in groups, or as a whole.
