Gethsemane

Gethsemane is a place where Jesus went to pray right before he was arrested and put on trial. It was a garden where he would often go with his friends to rest and talk. But on this night, Jesus knew that he was going to be arrested and put to death, so he went there to pray to God and ask for strength.

When Jesus got to Gethsemane, he told his friends to wait for him while he went off to pray. He spent a long time praying and talking to God, asking him if there was any way he could avoid being put to death. But he always ended his prayers by saying that he would do whatever God wanted him to do.

While Jesus was praying, some soldiers came and arrested him. They took him away to be put on trial and eventually crucified, which means being nailed to a cross and left to die.

So Gethsemane is an important place in the story of Jesus because it's where he wrestled with what was about to happen to him, and ultimately chose to accept God's plan for him.
