Ghilman

Ghilman are soldiers in Muslim armies who were recruited from non-Muslim nations or people. They were often hired as mercenaries, meaning that they were paid to fight in wars. They usually were skilled or talented in some way, such as being good at horseback riding or being able to shoot well. Ghilman were important in Muslim militaries, as they helped increase the size of the army and offered a different set of skills than the Muslims from the army.
