ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Gibson's law

Gibson's Law is a way of thinking that says that the easier two different things (like two different pieces of software) are to use together, the more successful they will be at being used together. In other words, when two different things are designed to work well together, they will be more successful than if they were not designed to work together. For example, if one video game is designed to work well with a joystick and another video game is designed to only work with a controller, then the one that works well with the joystick will be more successful than the other one.
