Politicization of science

Politicization of science is when people use science to support their political views or goals, instead of using science to find out what is true and accurate. People use science to say something is good or bad to back up their own opinion and to try to get people to agree with them. They might say something is bad for the environment or bad for people's health, for example, to get people to vote for a particular political party or put pressure on the government.
