The Republican War on Science

The Republican War on Science is a phrase used by some people to talk about the way some Republican politicians seem to disagree with science. This has happened most often when it comes to ideas about climate change and the environment. The way science works is that scientists do research, study the data, and then give their opinion about what happened. Politicians don't have as much knowledge about science as scientists do, so when a Republican politician disagrees with what the scientists say about climate change or the environment, it is called a Republican War on Science.
