ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Ginger group

Imagine you are playing with your friends and you don't like the game you're playing. You want to change the rules so everyone can enjoy the game more. So, you and a couple of your friends get together and start talking about how to make the game better. This group becomes known as the "ginger group."

A ginger group is a small group of people who share common beliefs or ideas and work together to try to change things. They are usually formed when people within a larger group or organization feel that their ideas are not being listened to or are being ignored. They want to make a difference and bring about change, so they form a group with others who feel the same way.

Just like when you make up new rules for your game, the ginger group comes up with their own ideas and tries to convince the larger group or organization to make changes based on their ideas. They might work together to write letters, make presentations, or hold protests to raise awareness and influence others to support their cause.

Often, ginger groups can be very effective in bringing about change because they are passionate and dedicated to their cause. And even though they might be smaller than the larger group they are trying to influence, they can still make a big impact. So, next time you want to change the rules of the game, remember that forming a ginger group could help make your ideas a reality!
