Glass

Glass is an amazing material made from special ingredients. It starts out as a special mix of hot sand, soda, and some other materials. The ingredients are heated in a big oven until they melt and turn into a liquid. The liquid is poured into a mold, where it hardens and turns into glass. Glass is usually clear like a window but it can also be different colors and have special shapes. People use glass to make all kinds of things, like windows so you can see out and bottles to put things inside.
