Glass mosaic

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a puzzle with small pieces that fit together to make a big picture? Well, a glass mosaic is kind of like that, but with little pieces of colorful glass instead of puzzle pieces. These little pieces, also called "tiles," are really tiny and can be different shapes like squares, rectangles, or even triangles.

People can arrange these glass tiles in all sorts of cool ways to make pictures, patterns, or designs. They stick them into a special kind of glue called "grout" (which is kind of like a sticky paste) on a flat surface like a wall or a table.

One really neat thing about glass mosaics is that they can reflect light in lots of different ways, which can make them look really pretty. Sometimes people even use different types of glass, like colorful stained glass, to make their mosaics even more interesting.

So, in a nutshell, a glass mosaic is a type of art that uses little pieces of glass to create cool designs and pictures.
