ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Glide bomb

Hey kiddo, have you ever played with a toy airplane before? You know how sometimes you can make it go really high up in the sky and then let it glide down all by itself?

A glide bomb is kind of like that, but much bigger and used for a specific purpose. It's a bomb that gets dropped from an airplane, but instead of immediately falling straight down to the ground, it has special wings that help it glide through the air towards its target.

This makes it harder for the enemy to see it coming, because it's not just falling straight down like a regular bomb would. It can also be more accurate, because the person dropping it can control where it goes before it hits its target.

So, it's like a toy airplane mixed with a bomb, and it helps the military be more efficient and effective in their operations.
