Global hectare

A global hectare is a way of measuring the amount of land in the world. Just like a regular hectare is a measurement of an area that's 100m by 100m (about the size of a soccer field), a global hectare is a measurement of land that takes into account the things that are growing on that land such as trees and other plants. This way, it is easier to see how much of the land is being used and how much is left for nature.
