Golden calf

Okay kiddo, do you know the story of Moses and the Ten Commandments? Well, after Moses went up to the mountain to talk to God and got the Ten Commandments, the people he left behind got impatient and started to think that maybe Moses wasn't coming back. They wanted something to believe in, to worship. So they decided to make a statue of a calf out of gold that they could worship.

Now, Moses and God were not happy about this because one of the Commandments is to only worship one god. So when Moses came back down the mountain and saw what the people had done, he was really angry. He destroyed the statue and told the people that they had broken a commandment and that they needed to ask for forgiveness.

The story of the golden calf is an important one because it reminds us that we should only worship one god and not make idols out of other things, like gold statues. We should also be patient and trust that things will work out, even if it takes a little longer than we want them to.
