Golden toad

A golden toad is a small amphibian that used to live in the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve in Costa Rica. They were a lovely yellow-gold color and had black spots on their bodies. Unfortunately, the golden toad has not been seen since 1989 and is now thought to be extinct. Scientists believe this might be because of climate change, since the golden toad needed a very specific temperature and humidity to survive.
