Goulash Communism

Goulash Communism is a type of Communism that happened in Hungary during the 1970s and 1980s. Under this type of Communism, the government was more lenient than the regular kind of Communism, which was in the Soviet Union at the time. In Goulash Communism, the government allowed people to own private property, have more freedom in their actions, and have more control over their lives. It was a mix of Communism and Capitalism, so people had some of the freedoms of Capitalism but still lived in a Communist country.
