ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Grain (unit)

Grain is a tiny little piece of weight that is often used to measure very small amounts of things like bullets, gunpowder, and medicine. Think of it like a really, really small rock. Just like how you use your hands to count rocks you find, people use grains to count things that are too small to weigh in pounds or ounces. One grain is so small that it would take 7000 grains to make just one pound! So when people talk about grains, they are talking about a very tiny unit of weight.
