Grammatical relation

Grammatical relation is kind of like a secret code in language that helps us understand how different words work together. Let's pretend we are playing a game and we have some toys. We have a big teddy bear, a little toy car, and a soft blanket. The teddy bear is the subject or main thing in our game. The car and the blanket are different things that are related to or connected to the teddy bear. We can say the teddy bear owns the car and is next to the blanket. In the same way, words in sentences have different roles like the subject, object, and even possession. By understanding these different roles, we can better understand what the sentence is trying to say. So just like our game, grammatical relation shows us how different words are related to each other in a sentence.
