Grant (money)

A grant is like when someone gives you money to do something good. Just like when your parents give you money for doing your chores or being nice to your dog, some people or organizations have extra money they want to give to people or groups who have ideas for things that would make the world a better place. Maybe you have an idea to help clean up your neighborhood, or your school wants to start a new program to teach kids about nature. A grant is when someone gives you money to make that idea happen. But you can't just use the money for anything you want, you have to use it for the specific idea or project you wrote about in your grant proposal. So it's like a reward for thinking of a good idea and trying to make the world a better place!
