ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Graphical perception

Graphical perception is about how people see things when we look at pictures or other types of images. Our brains have special tools that help us understand the images we look at - like the way the lines and shapes look, the colors and the brightness, the size and how things are placed together. When we look at a picture or an image, our brain helps us make sense of it and figure out what it is showing us.
