Graves of Sainte-Colombe-sur-Seine

Okay kiddo, so you know how when people die, they are usually buried in a special place called a cemetery? Well, in a small town called Sainte-Colombe-sur-Seine in France, there is a cemetery with graves that are very special.

You see, these graves belong to some really important people in the Catholic religion called saints. Saints are like superheroes of the church who did really good things and helped a lot of people.

But the graves here are not just any normal graves. They are actually called sarcophagi, which are like big stone boxes that people put the bodies of important people in a very long time ago. These sarcophagi are over a thousand years old, which is a really, really long time!

What's also special about these graves is that they are decorated with carvings and artwork that tells stories about the people who were buried inside. Some of the carvings show pictures of animals, like lions and deer, while others show scenes from the Bible, like when Jesus was born or when he died.

So if you ever visit Sainte-Colombe-sur-Seine, make sure to check out these special graves and remember the important people who lived a very long time ago.
