Great Famine of 1315–1317

Oh, kiddo, the great famine of 1315-1317 was a really big problem in Europe a long time ago.

Okay, so imagine you have a garden where you grow your vegetables and fruits like apples, carrots, and potatoes. And all your neighbors have gardens too.

Now imagine that for two whole years, there's hardly any rain at all. And you don't have enough water to give your garden, so your plants start to wilt and die. And the same thing happens to your neighbors' gardens too.

Now because there aren't many vegetables and fruits, the prices go up really high, and some people can't afford to buy food. And because people are starving, they become weak and sick.

And this is what happened during the great famine. There was bad weather, which meant that crops didn't grow properly. And when crops don't grow, people don't have enough to eat. This made life very difficult for people, and many died from hunger and disease.

It was a really hard time, but people eventually recovered, and things got better again.
