Great Indian Warpath

The Great Indian Warpath is a big path that Native American tribes used to travel from the Great Lakes area in the north all the way to the Gulf of Mexico in the south. Think of it like a really long road that they could travel on foot to get to different places.

The path was very important for trade, as it linked different tribes with valuable resources like weapons, furs, and food. They would also use it to visit other tribes, make friends, or go to battle.

The Warpath wasn't just one straight path, it was made up of many different trails that connected various tribes together. Sometimes the trails would meet at a town where different tribes would hold big gatherings to trade and socialize.

Today, many of the roads and highways in the eastern United States follow the same routes as the Great Indian Warpath, so even though the path wasn't created by Europeans, it has influenced the development of modern transportation in America.
