Greek diaspora

Okay kiddo, so you know how some people move from one place to another? Well, a long time ago, some Greek people moved away from their home country to different parts of the world. This is called the Greek diaspora.

Now, let's say you have a big family and your cousins live far away from you. When you go visit them, you might notice that they do some things differently than you do, like eating different foods or speaking a different language than you do at home. Well, when Greek people moved to different countries, they also brought their own traditions, language, and culture with them. They might celebrate different holidays, have different types of music and dance, or even different ways of cooking their food.

Even though these Greek people don't live in Greece anymore, they still feel a connection to their Greek roots and make sure to keep their culture alive in their new homes. This means that even though there are Greek people all over the world, they still share a common bond and identity through their shared culture and heritage.
