ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Groupshift

Group shift is when a group of people comes to a different decision than they would have individually. This happens because when people are in a group they get influenced by others in the group. This is called groupthink. Groupthink is when one person in the group takes charge and influences all the other people to agree with them, even if they don't necessarily think the same way. Groupshift is the result of this process. The group, as a whole, makes a decision that is different from the decisions that each person in the group would have made if they had been on their own.
