Halay

Halay is a type of dance that originated in the Middle East and Central Asia. It is a group dance where people gather together and move their bodies and feet to the beat of the music. The music is usually played with a special instrument called a davul, which is like a big drum that makes a loud, deep sound.

When people dance the halay, they usually stand in a circle, holding hands with the person next to them. Then, they start moving their feet in a certain pattern, usually stepping to the right, then to the left, and repeating. As they dance, they sometimes also sing or chant along to the music.

The halay is often performed at weddings, festivals, and other celebrations. It is a way for people to come together, have fun, and express their culture and traditions through dance.
