Hand warmer

Do you sometimes feel very cold outside when you are playing or walking? A hand warmer is a special little packet that can help you feel warmer!

The hand warmer is made up of iron powder, activated carbon, and salt. What does that mean? Think of it like this: imagine you have a box of toys, and inside that box, there are little toys that when you put them together, they create a new toy. The iron powder, activated carbon, and salt are the little toys that get put together to create the hand warmer.

So, how does it work? When you first open the package, the hand warmer is not warm at all. It's just a little packet filled with those three special ingredients we talked about earlier. But when you expose it to the air, those ingredients start to come together and create heat. They do this because they are reacting to the oxygen in the air. And when these ingredients react together, they create a gentle, comforting warmth that will help keep your hands and fingers warm for several hours.

So when you're outside in the cold and feeling a little bit chilly, all you have to do is take one of these hand warmers out of the package, give it a good shake (so the ingredients mix together really well), and then put it in your pocket or hold it in your hand. And just like that, you'll start to feel the warmth spreading through your fingers and hands, making you feel cozy and comfortable even on the coldest winter days!
