ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Handrail

Imagine you're walking in a big house, and there's a long, skinny stick that runs alongside the stairs that you can hold onto while you walk up or down. That's called a handrail! It helps you be safe and not fall while you're walking up or down the stairs. It's also helpful for people who need a little extra balance, like someone who is old or has a hard time walking. The handrail is usually made of metal or wood, and it's attached to the stairs and the wall so it doesn't move around. So if you ever see a handrail, remember that it's there to help keep you safe on the stairs!
