Guard rail

Imagine you're playing with toy cars, and you're racing them down a track. But sometimes the cars go too fast and they crash off the edge of the track! Ouch! That's where guard rails come in.

A guard rail is something that goes along the edge of a road, or a bridge, or a racetrack. It's usually made of metal, and it's like a fence that separates the road or racetrack from a dangerous drop-off.

The guard rail helps keep cars or other things from flying off the edge, by stopping them or redirecting them back onto the road. So if a car is going too fast and it hits the guard rail, it bounces back onto the road instead of falling off the edge.

Think of it like a safety blanket for the road or racetrack. The guard rail is there to protect you and keep you safe if anything goes wrong.
