ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Harappa

Harappa was a really, really old city that existed a long, long time ago in a place that we now call Pakistan. This city was very important because it was part of a big, big civilization called the Indus Valley Civilization.

The people who lived in Harappa were very clever and they built houses and roads and even a huge wall around their city to protect themselves. They also had a system of writing that we still don't fully understand today!

They were also really good at farming and they grew crops like wheat and barley to feed themselves. They even had special tools made out of stone that they used to do their farming.

People think that Harappa was probably a very busy place with lots of people coming and going, trading goods with other cities and maybe even with other countries far away!

But, even though Harappa and the Indus Valley Civilization were so important, they mysteriously disappeared a very long time ago and we still don't know exactly why.
