Heated shot

Okay kiddo, do you know what a shot is? Yes? Good! So, sometimes when we get a shot, it can hurt a little bit, right? Yes? Well, there is something called a heated shot that can help make the shot hurt less.

When doctors and nurses give us a shot, they use a needle to inject medicine into our body. A heated shot is when they warm up the medicine first, so that it doesn't feel as cold or sting as much when it goes into our skin.

You know how when we get in a warm bath or take a sip of hot chocolate, it feels cozy and comforting? Well, a heated shot can feel kind of like that too! It's a way to make something that doesn't feel very good (like getting a shot) a little bit more comfortable.

But don't worry, even if you don't get a heated shot, doctors and nurses always do their best to make sure your shot is quick and as painless as possible. Plus, getting a shot can help keep us healthy and strong!
