Hierarchy theory

Hierarchy theory explains that when people are organized in a group, they usually create a kind of "hierarchy," which means a structure or order in which people have different levels of importance. For example, in a school, the principal would be the most important person, while the teachers, students and other staff would have lower levels of importance. That's the hierarchy. The theory says that the different levels of importance help the group become organized and successful. The higher levels can make decisions and provide guidance for the group, and the lower levels can provide support and help the group move forward.
