Highball Signal

Okay kiddo, so imagine you're playing catch with a friend. Sometimes you need to tell your friend how hard to throw the ball so you can catch it. If you want them to throw it really high, you might give them a signal, like raising your hand up high. Well, trains need signals too, so they know how fast they should go and when to stop. A highball signal is a signal for trains that means they can go ahead at their normal speed. It's like saying "throw the ball as high as you can!" to the train. This signal usually looks like a big pole with a light on top, and it might be black and white or red and green. When a train driver sees the highball signal, they know everything is clear ahead and they can keep chugging along.
