ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Hilopites

Hilopites are a type of pasta that come from Greece! They are made from simple ingredients like flour, eggs, and water. To make them, you mix those ingredients together, then roll out the dough into thin sheets. After that, you cut those sheets into little squares, kind of like cutting a piece of paper into tiny pieces!

Once the pasta is cut, it can be cooked right away or dried out and saved for later. When it's time to eat, the hilopites are usually boiled in a pot of water, kind of like how you cook noodles at home. They only take a few minutes to cook, and when they're done, they can be used in all kinds of dishes!

Some people like to eat hilopites on their own, like they would with any other kind of pasta. Others like to add them to soups or stews, like chicken soup or beef stew. The little squares of pasta soak up all the yummy flavors in the soup, so every bite is super tasty!

Overall, hilopites are just like any other kind of pasta, but with a fun name and an extra Greek twist!
