Hip hop

Hip hop is a type of music that usually has someone talking or rapping over a beat or melody. It often includes things like drum machines, turntables, and samples from other songs. The words in the songs are usually about the rapper's life experiences, things they believe in or stand for, or just having fun. Many hip hop songs also include dancing and a unique style of dress called "hip hop fashion." Hip hop started in the African American and Latino communities in the Bronx, New York City, in the 1970s, and has since become a hugely popular genre all around the world.
