Hiranyagarbha

Hiranyagarbha is a Sanskrit word meaning "golden womb" or "golden egg". In Hinduism and Indian mythology, it refers to the cosmic egg that was created by the god Brahma before the universe formed, and which contained all the elements of the universe in the form of gods, goddesses and other beings. The egg split, and the world was born. Similar to a big bang, the universe and its elements unfolded from within the egg.
