History of Bulgaria

Okay little one, let's learn about the history of Bulgaria!
A long time ago, there were many different tribes of people living in what we now call Bulgaria. Some of these tribes were the Thracians, Greeks, and Romans. These people built many great cities and temples that we can still see today.
In the 7th century, the Bulgars came into the region and formed their own kingdom. They were a powerful people who were good at fighting and growing crops. They even adopted Christianity as their religion.
Over time, many different empires came to rule Bulgaria, including the Byzantine Empire and the Ottoman Empire. These empires fought over the land and changed the people's way of life.
In the 1800s, Bulgaria became its own independent country. Many people worked hard to make the country strong and free. But then, in the 1900s, there were two world wars and Bulgaria was caught in the middle of both. This caused a lot of pain and suffering for the people.
Today, Bulgaria is a beautiful country filled with mountains, beaches, and ancient ruins. The people speak Bulgarian, eat tasty food, and celebrate their unique culture.
