History of Malaysia
Okay kiddo, let’s learn about the history of Malaysia! A long, long time ago, Malaysia was just a bunch of separate tribes living on the land. They had their own customs, languages, and ways of living.
Then, many years later, people from different places started to come and visit Malaysia. These people were traders and they came from places like India, China and the Middle East. They brought with them new ideas, religions, and cultures.
One of the most important groups of people who came to Malaysia were the British. They came over in the 18th century and they wanted to take control of Malaysia. After many battles and negotiations, the British succeeded and Malaysia became a British colony.
However, the people of Malaysia wanted their own independence and didn’t want to be controlled anymore. So, they formed a political party called the United Malays National Organization (UMNO) and began to work towards their own independence.
Finally, in 1957, Malaysia gained its independence from the British. The first Prime Minister of Malaysia was Tunku Abdul Rahman and he worked hard to make sure that the people of Malaysia were united and happy.
Throughout the years, Malaysia continued to grow and develop. They have had their ups and downs, including political changes and economic struggles, but they have always worked hard to improve their country.
Today, Malaysia is a thriving country with a rich culture and diverse people from all over the world. And that, my dear little one, is the history of Malaysia!
